With the ignition key in the on position and the engine off.Step on the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. The light on the dash will flash and then the battery light will come on when it has reset.Remember the engine off and key on.You need to go all the way to the floor when you step on the pedal.Hope this helps.Good luck.

What is solution for wrench light staying on for a 2008 F 250 Diesel Ford truck Lariat model

You have to reset the oil change minder feature. It is done through your instrument cluster. If you have switches on the steering wheel i.e info, menu etc. scroll through until you find oil change reset and follow the prompts. If there are no info switches on the steering wheel the same process is accomplished by using the trip minder reset button on the instrument cluster.

Reset oil light

If you have steering wheel controls you can reset it by getting to the oil life indicator (mine is on the left side lower button menu when wheel is facing forward). Then press the arrow button for a few seconds to reset it. If you don't have steering wheel controls you can reset it by turning key to on position but don't start vehicle. Press gas pedal all the way to the floor three times (some say 6 times). Turn key off. Oil life should be reset went you start engine next time. I hope this works for you.

Need to reset oil life indicator on 2005 GMC Yukon Denali after an oil change...How do I do that please??..THANKS!

it depends........ if you have controls on the steering wheel or not. If you do, then go through the menu until you see OIL LIFE then hold in the reset button (looks like a backwards "L" with an arrow on it). Hold the reset button in until it reads OIL LIFE RESET or OIL LIFE 100%. If you don't have controls on the steering wheel, turn key on (engine off) and depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times, now turn key off. crank engine up and see that it has reset, if not try it again.

I slid off my driveway in a snow storm & got stuck. My problem is the steering column is locked & can't turn the ignition to start it or unlock it to get towed out. What could the problem be?

ther should be a steering wheel lock in the colum that engages when the vehicle is shut off . if you slid into the ditch and your wheels are turned or ther is a lot of presure on the wheels or colum then the lock wont disengage( the lock is jambed up because of the presure on it) try to remove the presure on the wheels and pull opposite on the steering wheel. if you get rid of enough presure on the lock it should turn again
