Heater fan runs intermittently.

The heater fan stopped working for a while. Then has been running intermittently. I've tried manual mode etc and it will not help. I've run through all of the troubleshooting checks in the FSM and based on that the darn thing should run. Bench tested it with 12V and motor runs fine. I'm thinking the auto amp is the problem but don't want to bet almost $300.00 to try it.

Any other suggestions?

Heater blower motor works intermittently

Hello Osbourne,
heater or 'blower motor's are prone to bearing failure, which can cause interference between fan & heater box;stopping,or slowing fan.consult a shop manual to DIY,or have a mechanic check blower motor .[I have found a stockpile of acorns causing a problem a time or two!!] Hmmm,Summer OK;Winter.........O nuts.......good luck!

The check coolant light has been on for about two weeks. I took it to a garage and they determined that it was my heater core. A few days later and the radiator fan is running after I turn off my car and...

Well, the low coolant light could have been on if the heater core was leaking coolant.
If the heater core was replaced and the radiator is now full of coolant, the low coolant light should be off.
The radiator fan can run for a minute after the engine stops to make sure the engine does not overheat. This can be a normal event for some models as long as it does not run for more that 3 or 4 min.
What kind of idle problem ??

Cruise control stops working when heater/defroster fan quits working

one possibility either the cruise control is on the same circuit line with the heater/defroster fan and same fuse. try to solve the problem with the fan and you will notice the difference.

Heat stopped working in 2000 pontiac sunfire

With blower on high and tempature to max heat check to see if you have good air flow in all mode selections (defrost, vent, floor etc.). If so and you still have no heat then check heater core hose going from engine to inside car to heater core with vehicle running and coolant tempature about half on guage. If both hoses are hot and coolant in radiator/overflow bottle is full then hot cold blend door is stuck in cold position. If coolant level is low you will get no heat, check coolant level first.

Heater/AC Fan Problem

sounds like a shorrt to 12v to me. The wire is hot and the fan is shutting off because the blower is bad, getting to hot, it will bind, causing over amperage.

Heater fan blowing intermittently or not at all

Most likely it does, if you can hit the motor and it will run. I can't say for sure but you might want to chk. to see if you got a heater blower motor resister. There located (if its got one) around the heater motor and it controls blower speeds, might be worth checking out.
