SOURCE: Chevy Blazer won't start; fuel pump needs replacing
Before spending several hundres on a fuel pump, I recommend doing a fuel pressure test. You can get a test gauge pretty cheap at a parts store. If the pump is junk, you raise the truck, lower the fuel tank, unplug the electronics from the pump at the top of the tank, then with a hammer and flat head scrwedrive, gently tap the lock ring in a counter clockwise direction until it pops off. Pull the pump assembly out and install the new one. Reverse directions to install.

You may have vapour lock in your heater lines. Start engine, put heat lever on high, disconnect one of the lines on your heater core, the one on the flow out side, & see if you have any air coming out. Once antifreese comes out stick line back on & retighten clamp. Make sure your cooling system is topped off. Also your water pump may not be functionihg to it's maximum. Take rad cap off cold & view flow rate. If inadequate you may have to replace the water pump. Good luck!

Check the magnets on the distributor. Mine did all these symptoms and turned out the magnets had depolarized. Replace them or at least check for magnetic pull. Wierd but true.
1-Place a large drain pan beneath the radiator drain plug. The drain plug is located on the passenger side at the very bottom of the radiator on the engine side.
3-Loosen the drain plug. On the 2000 Blazer, the drain plug is a wing-nut type of plug. Twist it with your fingers until the coolant begins to drain.
