I have a 1990 Honda Civic that i recently purchased, when test driving the car it started fine as well multiple other times we started it. When we put $10 gas in it, it suddenly would not start. When we returned and hour later it started fine. The car has spark and will turn over, but just wont start consistently. But when the car does start it runs just fine. When we got it home it stopped starting but later started fine. Any hint of what could be wrong would help. Thanks
My Honda Civic DX 1990 hatchback my car runs very good but the problem I have with it is that when turn it on engine light is off but when I take of and I hit almost to 40 on speed on the street my engine light turns on and when I get on the freeway and I hit 70 on the speed my engine light turns on dose anyone knows what is wrong with it???
I have a 1990 honda civic hatch, had the same problem. Its ur Fuel/Master relay under ur steering colum. its about a 66 dollar fix. turn the key to on but dont start. If u dont hear the fuel pump it is possibly that relay, or it could be a new fuel pump. Either 1

first have to solve the problem the check engine light will tell you what's wrong by diagnosing the problem have to get the trouble code and find what causing it google.com has few guys posted how to diagnose this and find the source of the problem. might be concern on gas fuel filter clogged, or injector are also clogged,
you need to FILTER the air coming in the intake with something screen or something zip ty some screen and paper towel .then give it an oil change and clean the plugs(do this first).
maybe fuel fouled plugs seen it happen many times check timming belt ohhh check rotor under dist cap they melt and turn if thats it u need a new dist bearings going out and get hot
bring the car to a parts store and have them test the battery and charging system for you, places like auto zone will do this for free, you need to confirm these are good before going any further good luck and please rate -Jeff
