CODE PO449 -EVAP VENT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE CONDITION.POSSIBLE CAUSES. VENT SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT IS OPEN OR SHORTED TO GROUND OR.VENT SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT IS SHORTED TO SYSTEM POWER B+.OR VENT SOLENOID POWER CIRCUIT IS OPEN TEST THE ENG 1 FUSE.OR VENT SOLENOID IS DAMAGE OR HAS FAILED.OR PCM HAS FAILED.

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with the V6 and I get the code P1174.
More then likely It would be pre cat O2 sensor. They judge of your truck is running lean or rich and adjust to it. If they go bad your truck will probably run lean and that's what made that code.
