SOURCE: location of blower resistor

The 96 LeSabre Custom and LeSabre Limited use an electronic module in place of a blower resistor.
It is under the hood on the firewall on top of the heater plenum, but below the relay rack.
They tend to short and run on high until the module burns out and then it quits.
The same part is used on many high-end GM cars from 92 to 96. The electronic module has two connectors on it. (If yours has only one plug it is a real resistor pack and not electronic.)

on the paasenger side of the car under the dash. Remove the lower dash panel below the glove box and the module is in the duct for the heat to the far right side of the footwell.

SOURCE: 1995 Buick Climate Controls Going Crazy

Same thing happened with my 95 park avenue a few weeks ago. I talked to a guy I know who is a GM mechanic and he says that the module (the thing on the dash with all the buttons and the temperature display) is broken and needed to be replaced. These computer modules just get funny with age and eventually have to be replaced. You can find one pretty easy on ebay motors. It's not hard to replace, you just have to take apart the dash and take out the old module and put the new one in. Hope this helps!

2002 Grand CHerokee: in cooling mode (summer), the

This is a chronic problem with Grand Cherokees. The blend doors inside the air box in the dash fail over time. This is caused by cheap plastic parts used by Chrysler that break easily.

Your problem is the forth Jeep I have seen like this in the past 2 months.

To check your climate control system for fault codes do this:

-Turn key to 'on'
-press and hold 'a/c' and 'recirc' buttons and turn drivers side temp knob clockwise one click.

Now the display will show 0 if no codes are present or one or more numbers if something is wrong.

You can check what these codes mean here: http://www.wjjeeps.com/climate.htm

1997 nissan pathfinder shuts off right after starting

There is a relay on the rh passenger side kick panel above the automatic transmission module that is controlled by the ECU through the MAF sensor that controls your fuel to the engine so the air / fuel mixture is correct. I fixed a pathfinder one time with a similar stalling problem.

Blower motor does not operate right

This could also be a loose/poor connection from the control unit. I have had a similar issue. I know it is not thermal overload because sometimes the blower just doesn't come on when you start the car. A slap to the top of the dash board over the temperatures controls has got it going again.
