On changing the plugs, if you have small hands you can reach all six by taking off the hood inside the car and changing them that way but if you can't reach them, then from under the car. It helps if you jack it up a bit and put a jack stand underneath. Just be sure to get them in straight if you do it from underneath as it is harder to see what you are doing.
On the brakes, you may have to remove and rebuild the unit that is actually connected to the power steering lines. I believe it was 98 that the booster is actually powered by the power steering fluid.

you go underneath for the driver side and you take off passenger wheel to go through wheel well to get to the plugs you might have to remove 2 screws to loosen the oil dipstick tube to get the middle plug on the passenger

Usually a set of spark plugs and wires with a new Distrouboter cap and rotter botten which is the plastic piece with the thermonal piece which causes spark on the combustion side of the cycle will fix this problem...............Hope this helps.

Had the spark plugs and plug wires changed on my 1994 GMC Safari minivan, and now it runs very rough. If I stop, the engine shuts off. Backfires a lot also. The whole van shakes bad going down the road....

If your Safari did not expecience these systoms prior to you changing the plugs and ignition wires, then you may have crossed two or more of these wires when they were repalced.

Check your spark plugs. That could be one of the reasons. Or are you sure you purchased the proper Fuel pump?
