How do you add transmission fluid to the torque converter on a 98 chrysler concorde?

I am trying to change transmission fluid on my 98 chrysler concorde. the local parts store said 9.9 quarts needed to be added. I dropped my pan and added all 9 quarts where the transmission dipstick is. Was there someplace else to add about half of the 9 quarts? and where

The nine quarts is the total capacity of the transmission. The only time you would use all nine quarts is if you where flushing the transmission. You will need to drop the pan and start over as your transmission is now severly overfilled. I left the details of how to do this in your previous question. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

SOURCE: how many quarts of transmission fluid does a 1995

That depends if you are talking about dropping the pan only - or fluid for the entire trani including the tourque converter..

If only dropping the pan - it should be about 3 to 5 quarts..

It its for the hole trani & tc - it should be 6 to 9 quarts..

How do I add transmission fluid to a 1996 concorde with a 3.5 liter eng?

Buy a funnel with a long flexible hose, and place the end of it in the transmission fluid dipstick hole. Add no more than a a few ounces of fluid at a time before rechecking the levels - preferably while the transmission is hot and the motor running.

98 crown vic transmission slipping

Change the filter and fluid. This car if the transmission is original should have a torque converter drain. Drain the torque converter also,it gets almost all the fluid out of the transmission. Doing this the car will require almost 12 quarts of fluid. Worth a shot. I change mine at 25000 mile intervals.

How many quarts of transmission fluid is required for a 1998 chrysler concorde and does every quart go in the transmission?

If your dropping the pan and replacing the filter than it would be a good idea to have six quarts of ATF+4 handy. You will add four quarts after you reinstall the transmission pan. With the vehicle on a level surface; Start the vehicle, put your foot on the brake, and put the transmission in each gear for a couple of seconds. Return the transmission to park. Check the fluid level. It should be about in the middle of the crosshatch area on the dipstick. If it is low add a half a quart at a time until it is at the proper level. Put the transmission in each gear again and then recheck the level. Topping of as necessary. You should be good to go after that! What is the full capacity for transmission fluid fora 5.7L 2005 chrysler 300

TRANSMISSION FILL
To avoid overfilling transmission after a fluid change or overhaul, perform the following procedure:
  1. Verify that the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  2. Remove the dipstick tube cap.
  3. Add following initial quantity of Mopar ATF +4, Automatic Transmission Fluid, to the transmission:
    1. If only fluid and filter were changed, add 5.0 L (10.6 pts.) of transmission fluid to transmission.
    2. If the transmission was completely overhauled or the torque converter was replaced or drained, add 7.7 L (16.3 pts.) of transmission fluid to transmission.
  1. Check the transmission fluid and adjust as required

My 2003 chrysler concorde is leaking transmission fluid. what is causing that?

All depends on where it's leaking from. If it's leaking from the transmission pan, then it's going to be a bad transmission pan gasket. If it's leaking from the transmission cooler line or connections from the transmission to the radiator, replace the line or the connections or just the O-rings in the connections. If it's leaking from the transmission housing where the engine and transmission mates, then it may be the from pump or Torque Converter. The leak could be coming from the CV joint inner shaft where it connects to the transmission. Good luck and keep am eye on your transmission oil level, low transmission fluid will cause transmission failure.
