If your dropping the pan and replacing the filter than it would be a good idea to have six quarts of ATF+4 handy. You will add four quarts after you reinstall the transmission pan. With the vehicle on a level surface; Start the vehicle, put your foot on the brake, and put the transmission in each gear for a couple of seconds. Return the transmission to park. Check the fluid level. It should be about in the middle of the crosshatch area on the dipstick. If it is low add a half a quart at a time until it is at the proper level. Put the transmission in each gear again and then recheck the level. Topping of as necessary. You should be good to go after that! All depends on where it's leaking from. If it's leaking from the transmission pan, then it's going to be a bad transmission pan gasket. If it's leaking from the transmission cooler line or connections from the transmission to the radiator, replace the line or the connections or just the O-rings in the connections. If it's leaking from the transmission housing where the engine and transmission mates, then it may be the from pump or Torque Converter. The leak could be coming from the CV joint inner shaft where it connects to the transmission. Good luck and keep am eye on your transmission oil level, low transmission fluid will cause transmission failure.
