I was driving my jeep, and thw car stopped. I had to get a tow to my house. My battery was replaced. I got a jump and the car started, but it when i started driving it, it would cut off because I replaced the battery, Now, that I have a new battery, it won't start. The jeep dealer told me that I needed to reset the alarm. I tried to reset the alarm and I couldn't. My car is a 2003 jeep cherokee overland. I was then told that I needed to disconnect the alarm, How do you disconnect the alarm. I have anti device theft alarm. I tried to reset the alarm by locking and unlocking the driver side door with the key. It still didn't reset the alarm. Plez help me. My car won't start. The battery is gettimg low and it is a brand new battery. I bought the battery six days ago.
Hello! The drivers side door lock/unlock switch is more than likely defective...Having said that, the alarm system on Jeeps are a constant problem...To disable the system requires removing the drivers door panel and cutting the Light Green/Orange wire at the switch...And installing a 465 Ohm resistor...Not something done without the necessary skills...
I would have the vehicle towed to a Jeep dealer and have them test the drivers door switch and disable the alarm....Guru...saailer

Check the owners manual for the proper dis-arming procedure. Or you close all the doors including the trunk and hood. Lock and unlock the doors using the remote or the key. Get in the car, shut the driver door, insert the key in the ignition and attempt to start. If that fails. Contact the dealer to see if they have any suggestions.

have you try jumping the battery? for how long did youre car sat in the parking lot?try this put anther battery in it tha you know tha it has plenty of charge & see if ther is no power ck the battery cables for bad conection.let me know if it fix the problem

Most cars that are mid 90s and newer had a remote feature. If you take it by the parts department of and Isuzu dealer they should be able to order you one or two.
