2000 Opel Corsa 1.3i Sedan
No idea offhand to be honest i would need my head under the bonnet to know what wrong .could be anything from the gauze filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump becoming chocked up and leaving the car allows it to drop away to a faulty pump overheating or the contacts ,maybe even a ignition module overheating ,Best advice is ask a local mechanic to have a look for you as normally these early opel corsas with the 4 cylinder engine are bullet proof they are even valve free if the timing belt snaps .
Coil pack or RPM sensor
I drive an opel corsa gamma 1.7cdti. Whist driving and the car reaches temperature it cuts out. The car will crank, but doesn't start. Replaced cam sensor already. When car is cold starts much easier
Opel corsa that dies when driving, typical fuel relay problem, remove the side cover at the drivers side of the vehicle at the foot well(plastic cover) drive the vehicle till it cuts, feel with the back of you hand if the fuel relay ( plastic box that plug in 2 cm long and 1.5 cm wide is hot, if hot, faulty, after 10 minutes it will cool down and you will be able to drive until it get hot again- replace part

nice motor for work and shopping ,try the idle control valve ,its a steper motor in the side of the monopoint injection housing (looks like a carb body) at the front right side is a round motor looking thing with a multiplug with 4 wires in it ,held in with two torq headed screws ,take it out and clean it but do not twist it or force it in any way

Likely you are talking about the harmonic balancer.
The bolt turns counter clockwise and is generally removed using an air gun. There is another way to do that too but it is a bit dangerous. Using a solid breaker bar (one without jointed end) you can brace the end against the ground with the socket installed on the crank bolt (I actually have a pipe driven into the ground outside just for doing this...I just slide the bar into the pipe and keep it form dropping by using a vise grip on the handle). Once the socket is on the bolt, crank the engine over using the starter, the engine will force the bolt to back out.
After you get the belt installed, tighten it as much as you can by hand and ask a shop to just give it a final tightening with an air gun.
If the socket slips the bar can fly up so be very careful and don't stand where it can hit you!

Hi, did you manage to find out what the problem was with you car cutting out and only starting after 7 to 10 min? The same is happening with my wife's car and at times it jurks during driving. I took the car to our local bosch workshop and as murphy would have it the car was driving fine then and nothing came up on the diagnostic test.
Ric, l haven't, the thing is so inconsistent, l even forget about it, then it happens again, like now, it happened to days ago, and it just happened again. l also did a diagnosis and it wouldn't be picked up because the car was running fine.
Ric see below:
I had a Vauxhall Carlton 2.0i which would stop for no apparent reason. It was driving me mad. Just couldn't find the cause. In desperation, took it to the main dealer. He put in new plug leads, new distributor cap, new plugs, and 'tuned' it. It did exactly the same the next day. Back to the garage. In the end I found it myself. Locate your Fuel Injector Relay in your fuse and relay box. When your car stops, pull this relay out, and tap it sharply. Re-insert it, and if the car starts again, that's your problem. Apparently the inside circuit board breaks down, and a new relay is the only answer. Intermittent faults like this are a total pain. In fairness the dealer gave me a full refund for the work that they had done. Hope this helps someone else.
i am facing same problem as your are facing, my corsa dies after driving for 15-20 kms, it wont restart immediateal, after waiting for 7-10 mins, it restarts and after driving for 1-2 kms, it again stalls.
Mine is okay for a day or two, and then begins a pattern of failing to idle and cutting out whenever I take my foot off the accelerator. In other words at every stop street, etc. There was a bad rent in the air filter rubber feed and Ifixed that, car seemed okay then, but the problem is back. Checked the plugs which were badly sooted, cleaned them, replaced, but need to locate the fuel injector relay as mrenhema above suggests. Will get the relays tested by auto electrician and then see again. thank you.
sounds like petrol pump or coil pack.

this sounds like a fuel problem do u have water in the tank , the fuel pump filter is collecting the dirt , does it only do it when the tank get low , when you fill it does it still do it , I have noticed that on some cars and trucks ,the plate for the intake gets loose , I noticed that when you make a hard right turn it feels like the car is going to stall , ck any vacuum lines this will cause your problem that the intake plate works loose ck the 4 bolts make sure that they are tight but do not crank down on them just make sure they are snug,
I have same problem engine just stall at the robot or stop sign expecially when the engine is hot.i replaced the plugs, fuel filter, temperature sensor still the same 0766385693 Richard
