I had just about everything replaced underneath the hood of my riviera, except the motor bcuz its still good. I was driving one day and the car shut down completely and never started again. Everything would turn over, but it seemed like the engine wasn't getting any gas, and I have a full tank. I have no idea what the problem is, considering mechanic states the fuel pump is still working.

Do the interior chimes and headlights turn on when you turn the key in the ignition???? We have a 95 Riv that gave us the same problem. Occassionally we have to put the key in the ignition, turn it on, move the steering column up and down (sometimes roughly) until the chimes etc. come on (some security thing) then the car will start.
This was a long time ago but I bet the issue was the ignition key security preventing the car from starting. There are small wire whiskers that read the chip embedded in the key. Over time the wires wearout (break) so the security system will not allow car to start. This was a long time ago but I bet the issue was the ignition key security preventing the car from starting. unplug the cam sensor behind the water pump pulley; see if it starts; if it does, shut off engine; replace both cam and crank sensors because crank sensors go out in these engines
You need to drain some coolant. Loosen and disconnect water lines by the firewall- the ones in the way of your wire change. u need to get a diagram of the firing order of the engine so that those wires are correctly connected to the coil packs.
Most auto part stores that I have been in stock the haynes auto repair manual, I have gotten some for way back in the 70's. If you don't see them, ask if they have them.
