Factory radio codes are an anti-theft deterrent, they are unique to each radio and car serial number, in order to get the code the dealer will have to access the manufacturers data base, you will need to pull the radio and record the radio model number and the serial number of the chassis of the radio and take it to the dealer, they will not in most cases give the info out over the phone, this would defeat the whole purpose of the code.

I disconnected my car battery and when i did that my factory cd/stereo got locked. I need factory password

If you don't have the code you will have to remove the radio and get the serial number off the back of your radio. You will then have to call or go into a Mitsubishi dealer and get the code; some will give it to you for free, but most charge for it. Also, there are some places online that will get if for you for like 20bucks and will email it to you in a couple of hours after you give them the serial number.

Need the code for the radio

None of the mitsubishi cars stereos have the same code, I had this problem with the stock stereo on my 99 eclipse spyder, I removed the stereo and put an aftermarket in, but changed it back when I was trading the car in, You have to call mitsubishi customer sevice with the serial code number on the back of the radio, also you have to provide them with information to prove that you actually own the car.

After a security code for a factory radio for a Mitsubishi Lancer

Hello,

This is to inform you that no one could provide you the code that you need. That code is also called the 'Anti-theft' code which is unique with every car stereo.

You need to check the glove box that's in your car and look for a card. That card should carry the anti-theft code for your stereo.

If you could not find it, you need to pull out the stereo and get the serial number of the stereo on the side of it. Then call the car dealer or the manufacturer. They are the only one who could provide you the unique code for your stereo.

You would get this problem once the battery run out of charge, once the battery has been removed or once you change your alternator.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Need code number for 2000 mitsubishi eclipse to turn radio on

this is quite a common fault which i hear, the only way to obtain the code is to hope the previoous owner or the person who fitted stereo is wise enough to write it down in your handbook. if it a factory fitted stereo then the manufacturer keps a log of it and will provide it to you for a small fee.

Not unless it was written down in there by the oridginal purchaser so you will have to write VIN# down and phone the dealer and they will be able to give you the code along with how to do this also it must be a factory sterio hope this helps
