SOURCE: overheating

Put in a t-stat. No thermostat can act like a bad thermostat, causing over heating, i too have a 94, it was clacking eradically, turns out it was the t-stat opening and closing about 60 times a minute, so i took it out, it got hot, put a new one in, and no more issues.

SOURCE: overheating

Follow the radiator hose to where it connects to the engine block. The thermostat will be in the housing to which the hose is connected.

If your having to put that much water in it I would lean towards a bad head gasket your other symptoms would make me think possible water pump. I'd check them both 1 of the 2 is most likely the prob or possiobly both. Good luck.

Sorry to say the head gasket is still shot, and you probably have cracked the cylinder head too.
The excessive pressure in the radiator and the overheating is compression going from the cylinders to the cooling system. You may not be leaking coolant into the oil as fast as you were, but its still letting compression into the radiator.

Hi, you wern`t clear on the year and model of your Honda, and was the radiator and hose replaced by a sevice shop or yourselves? Possible causes of your car overheating may be caused by not ``bleeding`` the air out of the cooling system properly. Another problem may be a malfunctioning thermostsat, another problem may be the Electric rad fan not cycling on. There could be a few more causes but I would have to know more details of your car as mentioned above..
