I just bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty with over 100k miles. The previous owner admitted they had not kept up with servicing the vehicle since about 50,000 miles. What do I need to get checked? Are there
Is there anything mileage related that needs to be replaced at 75k, 80k, 90k, 100k?
I think what I mostly need to know is about routine maintenance and/or any problems that are known about for this make/model. THANKS!I think what I mostly need to know is about routine maintenance and/or any problems that are known about for this make/model. THANKS!

That really depends on the quality and quantity of maintenance done on the vehicle. With 140+K miles your looking at 20 - 23K miles per year. Does the owner have service records, were all the manufacturer's recommended maintenance done at the proper intervals. Has the transfer case fluid been changed every 50K miles? Front and rear differential fluids at 100K? Any transmission service work done? Plugs should have been changed at around 100K.
I've never seen an oil pressure sensor that costs $750...Likely something else was done to justify that cost. If the light has not come on since the repair, I'd assume that problem has been corrected. If not, have the thing checked out again. If they charged you to repair it, then it should be fixed or, it's their problem!!! You should not be afraid to drive your vehicle. It's a machine, therefore it can and will break sometimes as do all cars. But being afraid to use it is not a solution.
This totally depends on how Much "Hard Driving" that you do. Offroad, 4x4 all the Time, ETC.... If you do I would Change at every 50,000 If not Every 80,000 is OK
to increase gas mileage make sure you keep on top of tire air pressure you can also have your tires filled with nitrogen instead of air also a K&N air filter does wonders and is good for lifetime worth every penny. another smart move is to use a fuel system cleaner regularly Lucas makes great products for this try local parts store.
