Vacuum lines i have a 99 astro van rear wheel drive 4.3L. the problem we are haveing is it is puttering almost like its not getting something we took the shroud off to replace the water pump but didnt put it back right away we noticed that a vacuum line was dammaged by the fan but cant find where it gose i have been trying to find a diagram for it with no luck any ideas

some of them are dummies they are not vacuums,but if it is a vacuum line is it color coded?

Replace the complete heater control vacuum line over the motor with rubber vacuum tubing.
The heater vacuum line connects on the drivers side of the engine halfway back on the intake manifold.Run the new line to the heater vac connection at the passenger side at the right front in the engine compartment.
I change 2 a week....this should be where your problem is.

You have to remove the interior dog box and the distributor and coil assemblies are in the back of the engine behind the upper plenum.
