I would perform a coolant pressure test because these engines are known for leaking intake manifold gaskets.Check and see if your oil is starting to turn a creamy tan color.

My '02 Tahoe had a check engine light come on at 126k miles and dealer found it was the intake manifold gasket. They also changed the valley pan gasket since they were taking the manifold off. It was a few dollars more since they were already there. Turns out this did fix it plus it also fixed a minor oil problem. The 5.3 used about a quart of oil between oil changes and most shops claimed it was the oil pan gasket or a rear main seal. This engine has not used any oil since they changed both gaskets. It would probably be a good idea that if the intake manifold gasket is changed to go ahead and change the valley pan gasket underneath it. I think it was about $50 more to do both.

Coolant leak chevy tahoe 02

If the coolant is in the cab they did not cause the problem changing the manifold gasket. It sounds like the heater core has failed, which is under the dash.

2000 chevy lumina. Is fan supposed to come on when car started

no fan comes on when engine cold start up .but it will come on when you turn on air conditioning or defrost on .if engine idling a while when temp get 190 degree the fan will kick on.if over heating you got air in system .wait until cools check coolant add more .crank engine let it idle few. minutes when start warming up turn off engine wait a while before removing radiator cap so you wont get scald.add more coolant .crank it again starting warming up turn off engine wait a while .add coolant .keep doing this procedure until your coolant stop dropping off .if you do this more than 6 times you got a leak some where.check crank level for signs.if oil level higher than normal.if everything looking good.when engine cool make sure add coolant to over flow jug cold level mark.

Chevy tahoe 2002 low coolant light is on. where do you add it

Chevy as most GM cars usually needs Dex-cool antefreeze
But Peak is OK as it can be used to top-off any color of automotive antifreeze including green, yellow, orange, fuschia, blue and red
More info here
http://www.peakantifreeze.com/peak_global_lifetime_5050.html
Also check the system for leaks. If you need to add coolant at least once a month there is a leak.
Good Luck

My '97 Tahoe overheated and now it won't start

Probably just low on coolant causing air pockets. Start it up with the radiator cap of and add coolant, then check to see if the water pump, intake gaskets, or coolant bypass connector on passenger front corner of the intake manifold is leaking.
