When I went to replace my radio in '96 Camry, I found that the factory wiring harness will not plug into any of the adapters that I could find, and that the color codes in all the manuals would not match what wires into the back of the factory radio.

How can any expert to figure out what wire colors you have if the factory wiring has been altered, the info I gave you is correct, somewhere back in the dash you will find the colors I posted, a THANKS FOR TRYING is not an appropriate rating, I tried to help.
I'm not mad just thought the rating was unjust, I stand up for myself when I think I am right about a technical, sorry I came across like I was mad, was glad to help, but we get no pay for this work, just trying to share my 30 years of car repair experience. Thanks for changing the rating.

Thanks a lot, but that's what I'm getting at. This is the standard wiring color code for '96 Toyotas and mine has none of these colors running to the radio: for instance, the 12v Acc. Swiitched wire is white, and there are two(2) constant 12v+ wire. There are two(2) ground wires Brown with a single silver band, and brown with two silver bands. I have traced the wiring harness to where it goes through the center console and stopped there. It all is Factory taped.
Whoa Dude! I didn't mean to make anyone mad, I talked with the lady that bought the vehicle new and no one has ever had the radio out of the vehicle and I was the first to pull it, so the wires came from the dealership just like they are now. Since the wires run from the radio and into the wiring loom and then down through the center console and then through the floor track to each side, I was just trying to get some help, or at least see if anyone else has had this problem. I guess I will just have to rewire everything, but I can do that.
Problem solved. There is a factory intalled amp under the front passenger seat and the proper colored wires plug into the amp outlet.
put in a new radio, ever thing worked fine, put in new speakers in rear (factory) now I get no sound.
