I have a nissan maxima 1993 and i am having problems with my radio. It is not coming on at all. how do i fix it myself
Check fuses, if all are good you will have to replace radio. Replacing a radio is quite easy if you use an adaptor from Circuit City for instance, or know your way around a voltmeter. If you can't get either it would be better to have a store/shop put one in for you.
You may not need an adapter kit for your radio,I didn't. Unless you are going to replace with a stock radio you may have some problems with a new non stock radio. Depending if you have a Bose or a Clarion system in your car. This is not as simple as just replacing the head unit, much more is involved.
The first thing to do is to buy a new wiring harness for the head unit. Go to Crutchflied for the proper
components and any other items that you may need.
