You need the correct part. The part you have is for a different vehicle. No there is not an adapter you can buy, but you may be able to hard-wire it by cutting and splicing wires. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you live in a remote part of Alaska and have no other means to fix this.

SOURCE: 2002 suburban wont switch from vent to any other

It sounds like the mode actuator is defective. It is what changes the different modes, floof, vent, defroster.

first check to see if you have power going to the actuators when you switch the switch to it location if no power replace controller if you have power and no movement from actuators replace actuator. if actuators move remove hvac box and check for broken blend doors.

SOURCE: 2002 suburban a/c blows only from floor vents

Most cars have dampers/diverters that are cable or electric actuated. Older cars may be vacuum operated. Not sure what actuates in your Suburban. Either the selector switch is not switching or the cable is loose or broken. You could check fuses but I'm not sure you'll find any. Not easy to troubleshoot.

SOURCE: my 1999 Chevy Silverado climate

the most common cause are the rubber pipes that feed the operating flaps with a vacumn ,they perish and split on the ends ,as all the control flaps are not working by the description then i would start looking at the pipes for deterioration ,starting at the inlet manifold and working back .Some vehicles use a vacumn resevoir at teh back of the engine on the firewall area ,so a pipe comes from the manifold to teh resevoir then another pipe runs down to teh bottom of the firewall area in line with the heater unit then connect to a plastic tube which goes through the firewall to the heater box then its taken off from their with another pipe to the operating control ,this is where i would expect to find the problem from the engine/resevoir/control switch

2004 Chevy Tahoe: I changed A/C blend door actuator on passenger side and it's still blowing heat on my driver side?

Does the vehicle have dual zone climate control, where the driver side and passenger side have different control? Sounds like a blend door issue on the driver side. Why did you replace the passenger side, was it blowing hot too when AC was on?

I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban dual climate control. temperature will not change from cold to hot.

Hello Daniel,

The main temp sensor that can cause this problem is called a aspirator. The Aspirator and the fan is located under the grill in the head liner above the drivers seat.

The first step in trouble shooting is to scan for fault codes. AutoZone may provide a free scan if you have one of their retail outlets close to your location.

Try this:

With the ignition key in the off position remove all fuses identified for the HVAC,Heater,AC in the fuse boxes located in the passenger compartment and the under hood fuse boxes.

Wait for a few minutes and then reinstall the fuses to their correct locations ( Take a quick picture of the fuse boxes before removing them.)

Turn on the key without starting the engine (do not change any heater or ac settings) Wait a minute or two and then start the engine to confirm proper operation. if the heater and ac operate properly all is well..if not the HVAC scan will provide a starting point to isolate your problem.

No heat or ac controls on a 1997 suburban

Is the blower running? Is coolant hot in the heater core when you set controls to hot? Do you have a picture of which setup you have?

The ac and the blower work but the heater won't work in my 95 chevy suburban

Hi Tim, I believe the problem will be either the electronic control module or a fouled operating mixing valve. Try operating the mixing valve directly from inside the engine compartment first and check if that makes a difference. If that fails, get a diagnostic scan carried out on the climate control. Front heater fan control switch gets hot and melts. Why?

this is an easy one, the blower motor is drawing to much current, this happens as they wear out, replace the blower motor aNd all will be well in chevy land.

Rear Climate control console

The rear ac controls have the snaps built in onto the unit. When they installed the overhead dvd they prolly stuffed the ac controls up in the headliner. You will have to replace entire headliner to reinstall the panel correctly. Be cheaper to repair dvd unit, and reinstall over the hole. The front controls in that car are the master controls anyway, you dont have to have the rear ones to make the rear ac work.
