My car shakes, in park, below 40, and above 60. It just started for some reason.

The car drove fine in the morning then suddenly the car just began to shake while I was driving. The check engine light went on and every time I would slow down or accelerate past a certain point it would shake. Even when I would break it would just begin to shake. What could the problem be?

SOURCE: Shaking with engine light and VSC Off lights turned on

If just found this on another forum:

A few days ago I started the Cruiser and had 4 indicators stay lit.
They were the CHECK ENGINE...SLIP INDICATOR..VSC TRAC..VSC OFF.
Didnt noticed any change in driving and 4-wheel drive is still working.
I removed the negative cable from the battery and the same indicator lights have NOT come back. Everything is back to normal as far as warning lights go. Should I take it in to the service center and have it checked.
Or should I wait to take it in, if it does it again?

SOURCE: check engine light is blinking and car does not

When the light is blinking it means the car is actively misfiring (which is why it's shaking and running rough). When this happens, pull over immediately and shut the car off. Running with a misfire can damage the engine.

You'll need to have the computer scanned for codes - they'll tell you which cylinder(s) are misfiring. Then you can investigate. Check the spark plugs for proper gap and to make sure that the car is igniting each cylinder correctly. If you have more than one cylinder misfiring, it increases the likelihood that the coil is bad. If you're unsure of doing this work, have the car towed to a shop that you trust and have them figure out the problem.

Try putting some dry gas in the tank. There could be a little water in the tank. Also try a fuel injector cleaner. Simply follow the instructions on the bottles. Good Luck!!!
