I own a 1999 Honda Accord LX sedan 4 cylinder, Five speed manual. I got an engine from Japan with few miles on it about a little more than a year ago. It is chugging and engine light keeps coming on. So I had the fuel pump changed and metal shavings were found in the strainer, and it seemed ok this week until today. Started chugging again and check engine light came on again after driving for about an hour. If I take my foot off the accelerator it stops chugging. Can you tell me what could be wrong?
The fuel filter is probably full of metal too. (fuel starvation) replace it.

This is what you need to do, change the plug wires, because if there is a bad wire you would definitely experiences sputter or a stutter, so do the plug wires and at the same time do the spark plugs, this should take care of your problem. if not let me know and i will give you the next step

your best bet is to go to the library + check out a chiltons/moter/mitchells or haynes repair manual any of these books will give you the step by steps + diagrams to do the job
