2005 Nissan Sentra - adjusting the clutch

When it gets cold (like, now!) my clutch won't open up enough for me to find 1st or Reverse without a lot of struggle - and sometimes only 2nd, until I get moving. Fluids are fine, no leaks any where. Looking for the way to adjust the clutch, but haven't found the right solution yet.

SOURCE: nissan clutch problem

If your not able to shift into any gear that means your clutch is not engage/disengaging. Check for fluid leaks, you said topped off and fluid levels were low? It sounds like you have a Slave cylinder or master cylinder leak, if its leaking its bet to replace both.

2000 nissan sentra..........shift to first and gear rough but won't go past third any answers

If the clutch is good and no air in the hydrolic system, your synchronizers are most likely going bad.

Nissan Sentra 2005 lags in changing 1st to 2nd gear

You need to have the systems computer tested for fault codes, that is the very 1st thing that needs to be done. If they rebuilt the transmission for $900 they did not replace very many parts or do a through job, the average cost is more like $2500.00

Hard to shift my gears when car in cold.Won't even go out of neutral to 1st gear.Forget about going into reverse.

With the engine off, check your operation of the gear shift. If you can go in and out of the gears fine without the engine running, then you have a worn clutch disc that needs replaced. If the problem still exists then you either have low fluid/weak hydraulic system, or there is a problem with the syncro that may be adjusted.

Tranny

check the fluid level hot, if it is low top it off, if it is not low you will need to replace the reverse clutch pack, this involves overhaul of the transmission Assembly
