belt 82 1/2 " long at parts store --part #5060825 -- fits perfectly to bypass AC on 2003 Taurus
you will need to purchase a serpentine belt for a taurus that isn't equipped with airconditioning, and that will match up just right with the other pulleys
go to a auto parts store and have them look up a belt for your car without a/c. keep in mind that you may have to try different size belts until you get one that will work. the ones that don`t work you can take back.
yes on both accounts. you can by pass the compressor by getting a serpentine belt for a non air conditioned car.Why do you feel that the a/c compressor is the problem?
Auto Zone has that information on line here. You didn't say what size engine you have or whether it is OHV or DOHC, but according to their numbers, almost 90% of 97 Taurus are 3.0L OHV.
I hope this helps every one, the gentleman wanting to bypass the airconditioner compressor just order a belt for a car without ac. or measure around the pathe of the belt and order one by lenth. I have had to do this before.
