White smoke on idle still

I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS, BUT A WHITISH LIGHT BLUE SMOKE IS NOT YOUR VALVE SEALS....IT IS YOUR PISTON RINGS. IF YOU REV YOUR ENGINE, AND MAKES MORE SMOKE, IT IS DEFINITELY YOUR RINGS.

Idles rough and smokes when first stated

Worn valve guides allow oil to drain into the cylinders, causes blue smoke, fouled plugs will idle rough.
Coolant in the cylinders from a blown head gasket will cause white smoke.

My bmw 730d 2004 is blowing out alot of black smoke what does this mean?

Black smoke from the exhaust is an indication of the engine running too rich. Probably bad fuel injection system.

Hi; my bmw 320i e90 m power has a terrible smoke only when idling i have changed oil separater and full service

The smoke is blue, correct?
When you changed the oil separator, did you clean out the hose that goes from the valve cover to the oil separator?
The next suspect for smoking at idle would be the intake valve seals, but that would be the first time that I ever heard of a problem there.

White smoke when you first start it up and it idles rough.

Hi,

Inspect ECR Valve. Improperly Functioning or Faulty EGR Valve on your model would cause Idle rough.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
