I got everything to change my oil myself on my 1996 buick roadmaster(might be limited edition) and i cant find the oil filter. can you please tell me where the oil filter is located
From under the car, it's located on the passenger side of the motor.
It is straight up and down (well close, therre is a slight angle) towards the back of the block.
I would would not trust it.
The jacks that come with the car are only designed to help you out in an emergency situation (like a flat tire).
I would never trust my life to one. That car weighs close to 2 tons, and 65% of it is in the front.
What you might be able to do, is drive up on a curb, so that both right side tires are on the curb. I don't know how you're built, so I'm not sure if you would have enough room.
You can pick up a set of ramps, or a floor jack and some jacks stands cheap.
And the nice thing about an investement like this, is that they are there for the next time you need them.
In all my years of working on cars, it is a #1 rule, that you never crawl under a car without the proper support, I like being alive, and I like having full use of all my limbs.
I just did a quick search. Sears has a 2 1/4 ton hydraulic floor jack, and jack stands for $50.00.
Autozone had something similar for $42.00
A very worth while investment, and very cheap insurance that is a one time buy, that you can reuse many times.

Which motor?
It's not by the convenience panel, or the under hood fuse center. Please give me some other locations.
