I am replacing two small bulbs part # 90011-11050 for the Heater, AC and Fan knobs on a 2004 Camry 4 cyl. The 2 bulbs light the three Climate Control labels (see picture) not the actual knobs themselves.
The bulbs can only be replaced from the inside rear of the dash, not from the front. What do I need to remove to replace them? How do I remove that section of the dash?
Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
Thanks,

I have a similar problem with my 1997 Toyota Landcruiser - a few of the fan directional buttons' lights have gone out on the dash. Can individual bulbs be replaced without taking the dash off? Can the buttons be removed for bulb replacement and buttons replaced? The control panel is held in by 4 clips, one at each corner. You need a long, flat tool, preferably hard nylon, insert it at the bottom corners & pry backwards, ther clips will release, and you then pull the top towards you to release the 2 top clips. The bulbs are on the back of the control assembly. Don't use a screwdriver, it will damage the material around the panel.

I'm not sure what model Toyota you have, but in a Camry, the cause is most likely a blown fuse. This is a 10A fuse labelled "Gauges" located behind a cover in the dash panel
If the warning light for your heating and cooling system is coming on, you need to take it to a good mechanic to check it out before something worse happens. if lights are just flickering, you could have an electrical problem/wiring problem. You will also need a professional to look at this in my opinion.
Normal, the ac heat exchanger condenser need air moving across the fins to remove the heat. While
moving in town the condenser isn't remove the meat that is building up the it's
aluminum fins. Even though the vehicle uses an electric fan. The fan is used to
cool the engine temperature. If you Toyota is equip-ed with automatic
transmission. The electric fan will need to pull enough air to cool the engine
temperature, automatic transmission fluid, air conditioner condenser, and maybe
power steering condenser to cool the power steering fluid. Later model of
vehicles/trucks are using different refrigerants instead R134A in which you
Toyota uses.
The simples way to explain is the ac remove heat from inside your Toyota and this heat is removed by the refrigerants inside your ac in the car. To cool the refrigerant this coolant is removed to the heat exchanger condenser located in front of the engine radiator. So, while moving at 60mph there is enough air flow through the radiator, ac head condenser, and other aluminum heat exchangers. GB...stewbison
stop and go traffic will make the car heat up,, make sure you have air flow through the radiator fins, also make sure that the ac fan is actually engaging the fans work on a sensor and if they don't work, neither does the fan.
the symbol with a car and 2 curved lines behind means:
"Slip control" or "Stability control" (also known as ESC, ESP, ASR or DTC) warning.
Toyota Trac Inop Light Toyota's traction control helps you maintain traction on wet, icey, loose or uneven surfaces. There are complex wheel speed sensors that will trigger the traction control safety feature as needed. If you see the trac inop light illuminate, this feature might be disabled. A Toyota service rep can access the trouble code and identify what is needed to fix any potential issues. - See more at: http://jeffwylerclarksvilletoyota.com/section/secondary/toyota-dashboard-indicators#.dpuf
The fan speed resistor is the problem........when you are on full speed the current bypasses the resistor and this is what gives you the fastest speed from the fan motor.......on 1, 2, or 3 speed setting, it is directed through the fans speed resistor circuit
It is located in the air box behind the glovebox on the interior of the car passenger side
I have an 03 bravada and the problem with my blower was the blower motor control module.I just had it replaced and everything works perfect.I paid 115.00 for the part and took 2 minutes to put in.The control module is below the glove box behind a panel.remove the panel and look up and you will see it.It has a rurple and black wire comeing off it.
heater heats badly and cools when engine speed drops<<<<?
DOES THIS MEAN HEATER NOT GOOD EVER OR IS GOOD WHILE ENGINE GOIN FAST?<<<<< THERMOSTAT
Heating GOOD OR DECENT GOIN DOWN THE ROAD but not at SLOW speed or stoplight
This is useualy a sighn of low coolant,as at low speed the Flow slows downand allows any AIR Pockets to Form thus causing
Heater NOT to GET COOLLANT, SYSTEM MUST be topped off with Temperture Selector dial ON HOT And ENGINE at Operating Temp-NICE & HOT this way cooolant fills all Voids and AIR. Pockets
IF there is a Bleeder Valve at TOP of Thermostat Housing then after first Procedure, Close System with Radiator CAP then Open Bleeder SCREW let it Flow till NO AIR comes Out then Close Bleeder screw Tight.
