1998 Corolla Radio problem/replacement

I have a 1998 corolla and... my problem right now is... the first few minutes on any cd I put in doesn't play properly like... it skips. I was thinking of replacing it if I can't fix it. I brought it back to the shop but they said they don't relaly deal with that... so it's better if I replace it. Problem is I don't think this was the original Stereo system it came iwth. cuz if i'm not mistaken it wasn't a CD stereo system that originally came with the 98 corolla.

Maybe someone can tell me a place I can get a cheap replacement stereo system? simliar to it?

Just as a note I live in Canada // Toronto, ON so I need a store that is near me or canada based or maybe online place that ships to canada.

Ok... the 98 corolla (that i know of) only comes equipped with the tape deck and radio, you probably have a after market radio, these are easy to replace, you can buy any standard cd player to replace yours, even if the wiring harnesses dont match up right, i offer a diagram for the colors and labels on my tips, its fairly easy to do, check it out and good luck!

JVC KD-HDR44 - Accepts & Ejects CDs, but nothing else including no lighting

Hi,

this could be a compatibility issue with some or all of the parts in your jvc player. I would first call jvc and Toyota to determine whether the player is compatible with the model of the car that you have. I suspect that this is the main issue as your other cd player works fine within the corolla and the jvc player works fine with the xterra.

Thank you.

On my 98 corolla the radio clock and dome light doesn't work. But when I put the fuse in all that works but the alarm goes off. Don't have original key or remote for the car. Is there away to fix...

leave the fuse in have someone disconnect old alarm
and get a new one. is gonna be more expensive to purchase
the remote than to get a new alarm.
