HI, I operate a production line that produces these. You are not supposed to spray them with anything to clean them. You can buy them fairly cheap off ebay, but since I see how they are made, I would purchase a aftermarket or one that auto zone sells. The OEM are expensive and are the same part may look a little different.Maybe if you can text a picture to my phone to show me which one you need and the approx. length I may have one to fit it. I could send it to you free of charge just to help u out. But its best to replace all of them.

Lack of bank 1 02 transitions

Lack of O2 Switching?
(Front to Rear Bias)

The rear monitor sensors, are moving in
response to the front sensors, that are not
able to use the oxygen & converter catalyst,
to clean up the exhaust gases & adjust the fuel
trim

So you either have a failed O2 Sensor or
more likely a failed exhaust converter

The OBD Codes & other data will help determine
the problem

Error code P1131 & P1151

Hope this helps you or future parties of intrest. P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1 P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2 I would get under your stang and gently clean outside portion of o2 sensors using a scotch brite. Also if you have so dielectric grease pull electrical connections to o2 sensors clean them and add grease. These trick eliminated the o2 sensor OBD1 codes on my 1987 Ford mustang gt

Slow acceleration

Why would you expect any fluids to help ?

Have you changed the fuel & air filter, spark plugs,
cleaned the maf sensor, changed the two front O2
sensors & checked fuel pressure?

When that is done, check for codes, then vacuum
leaks

If it is over ten years old, the exhaust converter may
be blocked

Last check for cylinder misfires as those ignition
coils fail a lot & several at once

Don't over look the egr valve

2003 jaguar s type r 4.2ltr. check engine light still on after replacing o2 sensors for code po172.can anyone help?

Don't think the sensors were the problem

You never change the rear monitors anyway

You use the code & reference material, to diagnose
what the code tells you, doubt that was done

Look at fuel trim on that bank, it should be rich

Check & clean MAF Sensor & all intake ducting for vacuum leaks
Smoke test intake & manifold, as well as exhaust before cat if you need to

If fuel pressure is good & only one bank is rich scope O2 Sensor
to confirm then scope the injectors on that bank & you will se if they stick

May have to remove all injectors & mail away for ultra sonic cleaning

O2 sensor replaced but still stalling out.

Here may be the reason for this problem. The O2 sensor reports a problem with the exhaust gases coming out of the engine. The O2 sensor then sends its signal to the main processor to adjust the fuel mix to correct the problem. There can be a build-up of soot in the system, the catalytic can be bad, or the injectors can be unresponsive and continue to foul the system. You could have bad oil rings which will foul the exhaust.

Clear all trouble codes. You can try to use some additives for the fuel system that clean injectors and there are some additives that claim to clean the catalytic converters.

I am not familiar with the wiring leads to your O2 sensor. Sometimes a wire will cook or fray and give false trouble codes for the O2 and really the O2 is fine but the wiring is not.

As for not showing a problem at idle or neutral there are some manufacturers that design their system to improve idle by having different functions under a load for their O2 systems.

Running Rough: P1131 & P0171 DTCs

They both refer to oxygen sensors, but a lot of times a dirty mass airflow sensor is the cause. Get a can of Tuner cleaner spray from electronics store, or radio shack & remove battery cable (Neg - ), then remove MAF sensor and clean it well with the spray & let it sit & dry out for 1/2hr or so, then re-install & try it. Careful with the wires, they break easy. I don't recommend carb or brake cleaner be used, because they leave residue, which kinds of defeats the purpose of cleaning it.
