Rear window won't roll up or down
It xounds like the switch itself may be bad or the relay may have burned ouy.
Check that the fuse or the relay for electriic windows is not gone, you may need to replace it.
If it does not work at all check the fuse first (check fuse and relay in any case).
If fuse is ok, test the wirings, from switch to fuse box, and from fuse box to motor.
If there is no power from switch to fusebox, replace switch.
If there is no power from switch to motor, check wirings and fuse, and eventually replace them.
If there is power to motor, check that the glass is not stuck , byu removing door panel, if the motor is not working replace it.

SOURCE: 2001 Buick Lesabre windows roll up but not down.
This problem is very likely caused by the drivers side power window switch being defective, I have seen this very same problem in the shop more than once and the new master switch fixed it. here is the part number and price from www.Rockauto.com
AIRTEX Part # 1S3874-Left front Power Window Switch. Price $105.79
SOURCE: rear power windows stop at
The windows have a safety system: if the effort required from the motors to move the windows is higher that normal, the motors are stopped to prevent them from frying and shorting the entire electrics system of the car.
The only 2 causes that could made the window too hard to move on just some occasions is dirty seals (when dry the dust caught in the seal acts just like a grease making the movement actually easier; when whet the mud acts almost like a glue dramatically increasing the effort needed) or rusted mechanisms
You need to clean the seals: lower the windows and clean them with a toothbrush and soapy water. If the dirt has been there too long it might have eaten the rubber or even damaged it all the way to the frame. In that case the seals will have to be replaced.
The mechanism will have to be replaced. For both of them the doors will have to be completely stripped, a job for a repair shop.
