Its most likely located behind the glove box. which usually comes unhinged fairly easily from its open position stoppers. then there would be an access panel to remove to get to filter(s)

Where is the air conditioner cabin filter located in the 2013 Nissan NP200 Bakkie ?

You are going to hate this. The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. If you can remove the glove box door, then remove it. Then you will see several screws that hold the actual box in place. They are around the perimeter of the box. Once you remove the box, you will see the filter holder. No other way...sorry.

Replace cabin filter

Then cabin air filter is located right behind the center stack where the radio and heater controls are. It is fairly easy to get to. I changed mine myself without even taking the glove box out like it says. It's a tight fit but doable. There is small door on the passenger side of the center stack. Open that up and the filter is right behind it. There are videos on YouTube if you are unsure of where exactly it is located. It is the same for years 2007-2012. I have a 2012.

The cabin filter on my Nissan Navara D40 dual cab is due for replacing and I need to know where it is located

1. Open the glove box.
2. Depress the tabs located on the inside of the glove-box so it swings out of the way.
3. Remove the 8mm bolt covering the air filter. Remove the filter cover and old filter if any (2 pieces)
4. The new air filters are marked with arrows (direction of air flow, should point down).
5. Insert first filter, push to the right. Insert second filter.
6. Replace filter cover and 8mm bolt.

Thanks for your answer, but I was asking about the cabin air filter not the engin air intake filter

The cabin air filter is usually located behind the glove box or at the base of the windshield in the cowl area over the HVAC inlet duct. The exact location can be found in the vehicle owner’s manual or a filter reference guide at the auto part store where you purchase the cabin air filter from.
On most Fords, the filter is located under the hood in the cowl area. On Chrysler models, it is located under the dash. On GM products, it might be under the hood (Impala, Lumina and Monte Carlo), under the dash (Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe) or behind the glove box (Venture). On Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and most Honda models, you’ll find the filter behind the glove box. There is no cabin air filter even listed for a 1998 Oldsmobile Regency.

On vehicles where the cabin air filter is mounted under the cowl at the base of the windshield, some disassembly may be required to replace the filter. This may involve removing a plastic cowl cover. The area around the filter usually collects debris, so this area should be cleaned to remove any leaves, bugs or other debris before the old filter is pulled out. This will prevent any contaminants from falling into the HVAC inlet duct.

On vehicles where the filter is located behind the glove box, the glove box may have to be removed to replace the filter. On others, the filter can be accessed from under the dash and pulled out of a slot in the HVAC unit.

Most cabin air filters are flat-panel filters, but some have unusual shapes, so they will fit the HVAC inlet duct. Some filters also come in two sections to make replacement easier.

Change cabin air filter

Most cabin air filters are located inside the dash. Only way to access this area is through the glove box. Open glove box, remove/open the tabs and the glove box cover will drop down to gain access. Be sure to remove all items from the box or they will just dump out on floor. Behind the glove box using a flashlight you will see the filter, remove, replacement is reverse of accessing.

Hope this helps!

I need to replace my Nissan Quest 2007 in cabin micro filter

I'm going to send you exploded view of the glove box and the in cabin micro filter cover illustration. Remove the two upper screws on the glove box and carefully pry metal clips loose.
Disconnect glove box lamp electrical connector. Do not let glove box assembly hang from glove box lamp harness.
Remove three lower screws and remove damper clip from glove box door. Separate glove box housing and passenger instrument lower panel.
Remove three screws and remove in cabin micro filter cover.
Remove in cabin micro filters from front heater and cooling unit assembly.
Note When installing two new in cabin micro filters ensure that the filters are facing in the direction indicated by the direction arrow for the airflow. Direction arrow is printed on side of in cabin micro filters.
Install in cabin micro filter cover. Reinstall glove box.12eb879.gif63a72f6.gif

How to replace a/c filters on 2005 altima or does it even have them?

Hello and thank you for using FixYa!

With the glove box closed, there are 2 black pins at the bottom of the glove box. Remove these 2 pins, then the glove box can be lowered to access the in cabin filter cover which just pops off, to replace the filter.

Thanks Jay!

2006 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 engine - cabin filter replacement

It should be the same general procedure as the 02. Open Glove box and remove contents. Remove glove box stops and or glove box shock on side. With the glove box swung out of the way remove the panel that covers the air filter. Remove and replace filter. Reinstall cover, and glove box stops.
