Hi Jason Need a little more information to help you. Try google for Castrol oils. This can normally give you an indication of there recommended lubricants and capacity's, alternatively give your dealer a call. Good luck

Fluid capacity is stated on your owners manual. Or go online type on browser transmission fluid capacity of “make, model, year of your car”. If you drained the transmission fluid there would still be fluid left on the torque converter so for example the fluid capacity is 10 quarts there would be about 3 qrts left on the converter so all you need is 7 qrts. The pesky "Service Engine Soon" light... honestly no one could tell you without actually servicing it, but it could be anything from an dirty air filter, to a bad block or piston, or anything. A licensed mechanic should be able to tell you after looking at it.

I actually was just speaking about this with a Jiffy Lube rep. He claims that some of the larger(yours being the largest) 8 cyl. engines can take up to 7 quarts US. Best to call Ford service and get the exact amount. When you do take a hacksaw, while the truck is on level ground and scribe the dipstick lightly right where the level is.
