Lighter my mazda 93 protege lighter does not work, how can I fix it?

    I have the same issue but my horn still works. I've checked all fuses and none look like they're burnt out. Any ideas?

Check the fuse first. on most cars the horn and cigar lighter are on the same circut.

Have a short gone through 3 alternators/ 93 protege
THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR IS INSIDE THE PCM AND NOT THE ALTERNATOR. IF YOU KEEP BURNING UP THE ALTERNATOR THEN THE REGULATOR IS OVER CHARGING. YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE PCM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE PCM IS LOCATED UNDER THE CENTER CONSOLE IN FRONT OF THE SHIFTER.

Mazda Protege cigarette lighter pops out before heating. Fuse is good and lighter works if I hold it in. Is there anything in the socket I could adjust that would fix this?
No adjustments; just replace the element.Any auto parts store has them.

nearly everycar that ive seen has the fuse box located bottom right by the drivers foot well. check all the fuses and you will come across a broken one. this fuse is likley used for more than features (probably all acc features) if you dont find any then you lighter or loom to the lighter is stuffed.
