can i ask why you put a trickle charge on a new battery ? also a trickle charger that is faulty will blow the ecu. its best not to use them on and vehicle from 90's and below as they were not designed to take them. modern cars have overloaders inbuilt into the ecu so lighting strikes etc don't do any damage and the engine will run on.

could be a corroded ECU. check the ecu compartment prbably leow the windshield on the passenger side. this boxed area can get wet, swaet and dampen an ecu to the point of shorting out. problems can be gradual.

when you take out the ecu, you will have to remove the bottom plate and inspect the circuit board area. could be algae growing...cleani it with a tooth brush and alcohol, gently.

i would also loook for a way to remount the ecu so it is not laying on a flat surface that can accumulate water.

will this car start when oushed as the key chip ecu start relay can be defective and this can be briged out at the ecu if the engine is cranking you do not have a key problem and will have to take the car to diagnosed on a computor

there really is no proper way to reset the radio but just dissconnect the battery then re connect it and put in the code

There must be a problem with the air bag system for the light to be on, if the system was o.k. the light would be off and have a stored code. You cannot reset this light with a generic obd2 scanner. You need to access the air bag system and read what codes it has stored. Good Luck.

DME relay is faulty, its seperate from the ecu and was most likely fried when the ecu went........did anyone try to run an on board diagnostic code pull?
