If you have the dutch rear doors, and one side unlatches, the problem may be a disconnected link rod in the hatch door. Remove the interior handle, and look to see there are 2 links attached to the actuator bar. Slamming the hatch door closed often pops one (or both) links loose. If the plastic rod retainer clip is broken or missing, replacements can be purchased from GM.
This may be a Body Control Module (AKA, BCM) issue, this module controls these functions, wsaw this same issue on a Buick, it was the BCM, you will have to have an active system tester with live data stream cycle the locks to see what the problem is, as far as I know the dealer is the only place that has this type of dedicated test gear.
