Lights and stereo turn off when car is parked but still running. Speedometer is not accurate and will go haywire when turn signals are on. Brand new battery. Tested alternator, it is still good. Not sure if its related but, the windows will roll up and down even if the car is off and if you turn the car off but not the lights the heater and AC will continue to run even if the engine is off and the keys have been removed. My theory is that the wiring is wrong but i don't know how to fix it.
Any after market electronics put on? on the engine harness maybe there are a couple connectors that got put in wrong place? any transmission or engine work done to it lately?

maybe the wire is severed where the door (drver dr) pivots. thats what was wrong with mine. there is a rubber boot with crinkles in it that hold all the wires together. you can also try replacing the switch board that controls the wndws on the drvr dr. hope that helps.

(it cut my question short here's the full question) I'm having problems with my 91 oldsmobile cutlass ciera, the lights turn themselves off when i park and when they go off so does the stereo, it all comes back on once i get the car moving again but when the lights are on they are as bright as ever no dimming or anything so i don't think it's the battery plus i already replaced the battery and had my alternator checked. Also my speedometer is going haywire and the stick will twitch when i turn the turn signals on, i don't know if it's related but the battery charge light and check engine light keep turning on and off, if anyone knows what the problem might be or how i can fix it i would really appreciate the advice.
