Hey maybe one of the tube that attaches to your water pump is punctured that or you'll notice that when the AC is in use the car will let water out, which is no problem at all the car naturally does that.

1991 pontiac grand prix le 3.1l overheating

I had an older vehicle that overheated. I flushed out the radiator twice, but it was so clogged up, I had to replace it, so check the radiator. If you inspect the radiator from the filler neck, you can see if there is crud build-up on the tubes. The problem could be the water pump. Typically when water pumps fail, they start to leak from the weep hole(s) on top and /or bottom. Is there any leak from the pump? If there is, that is indication that the pump need to be replaced. Hope this helps !

Water leaking through doors on civic vit 2007

No it is not a common problem. You will need a leak test done using a rain maker fixture to see where the water is coming in.

Water pump gushing near base of pump.Do I need to replace whole pump or just replace gasket for 91 calais?

Water pumps have what is called a "weep hole" under the main pulley shaft. When this hole is leaking it is time for a new pump. See if you can check this area a bit better with a mirror and flash light. If you go after a water pump gasket, might as well replace the pump also any way. Don't forget the anti-freeze.

Water pump is leaking? i think? upper hose is hot lower hose is cooler but not cold. leak is coming from near the alternator.

Water pumps leak when they start going bad... it's kind of a warning sign before they let loose. So there's a good chance that you're right.

1994 Honda Civic LX\overheating within 2 mile drive

Remove and raise upper hose at thermostat end and remove lower rad hose.
Fill rad with a hose and watch for flow from bottom rad hose and/ or bottom rad hose connecton.......water should fall though rad easily.
Honda rads are cheap.....any restriction....replace rad.

Remove thermostat....fill thermostat housing with hose and watch for water flow at bottom rad hose.
Flush good.

Remove heater hoses.......flush back and forth until a good flow is present "With heater control set to hot" if no or poor flow....replace heater core.

Stop leak can plug everything.

Also.......not likely causing over heating....but ....at your mileage,if you do not know if the timing belt has been changed.....CHANGE IT NOW!
Water pump is optional at this mileage.
