2005 suburban the heated seat keeps coming on, drivers side only, turn off and it will come on again, after time, it will work properly, that is: it will stay off. any solutions?

The problem could be the drivers seat module.It is under the seat and controls the drivers seat functions.There is a service bulletin for seats that will only work for a few minutes and then shut off by themselves.The fix for this is having the drivers seat module reprogrammed but I don`t know if your problem would fall in this bulletin.Only the dealerships can program these modules.Hope this helps.Good luck.

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they don't work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue.

its the heating element in the seat its brunt out, gonna have to remove seat cover to remove element, good luck.

you have a couple of problems first of all your drivers sd=ide heated heat pad is probably faulty, for your heating problem you may have to get the hvac doors recalibrated.

there may be a software issue, there is a reprogram for seat heater issues. Bulletin 05-08-50-008 may pertain to that, a AC DELCO Shop or the dealer can ck that and see if this bulletin applies.

sounds like a weak switch. I would say you most likely have replace the controls

for the power window, check the fuse and relay for same, check the switch by turning on the doom light an then depress the switch, if the light dims then same is working, check the motor by add 12v directly to same. for the heated seats check the switch, its malfuctioning

Have you Checked Both Fuse Boxes---Under the Dash and Under the Hood?

The most likely failure point is the driver heated seat elements. They probably have excessive resistance and once they warm up a little they short out the module and it defaults to not working. I would recommend replacing both upper and lower driver seat elements.
