Sounds like possibly head gaskets, when you overheated probably warped heads causing coolant in oil and coolant in cylinders therefore partially hydrolocking...antifreeze does not compress like fuel vapors .check oil and see if looks like creme to light chocholate color. this means coolant in oil, this is very ******* bearings, eats them up and if thats the problem you loose oil pressure cause bearings are sloppy from being worn. Bottom Line.you might be looking for another enj.or rebuild

hi jasso, I would recommend checking the water pump if you see no flow in the radiator. Make sure when you fill up the cooling system, that you fill it cold, and that the vent screw in the radiator is loose. fill system until fluid comes out the vent screw. tighten the screw, start the car and have someone run at 1500rpm and check for flow.also, make sure that you have your temp setting full hot and blower on middle speed so that you don't trap air in the heater core.

Leaking, overheating --- *fixed* then puff of white smoke 1 week later

I'm not taking sides in this. So what I am going to say is more or less neutral.
There is a big possibility you damaged the head gasket when the engine overheated last week. The dealership would have no way of knowing this if it was not yet leaking into the engine when they replaced the water pump.
Once the water pump leak was fixed, the system would be running under normal pressure which could finish off the weak head gasket.
You can not see a damaged head gasket without removing the cylinder head. And you have two heads with two gaskets.
So, IF the head gasket is now blown there is a good chance they did not know it last week. It could also be a cracked cyl head or leaking intake manifold gasket. Or all of the above.

Suspect you have a loose clamp on a radiator hose or the oil change guy made something leak. There is a tool which is similar to a a bicycle pump in that it pressurizes the water system and your engine does not have to run or be hot to test. Some major auto parts stores may have a loaner.

Its going to stay hot and lose pressure until you fix the leak.

Stopleak can work. But if the mechanic that installed the parts were to use a Radiator pressure tester, he would easily find the leak and fix it correctly. If this leaks after he worked on it, he still has work to finish.

I have a 1997 olds siloutte that is overheating

clean and degreese the engine from the top to the bottom. fill the radiator and start the van let it idle for at least 20 min and look for a leak. if no leak present look at the tail pipe smoke. if smoke is white you have a bad head gasket. Also check oil to see if it"s milky

2.3l ranger keeps overheating, been through two radiators already.

Hello Ranger Joe, eight months and two radiators is very uncommon. Question, Have you visually confirmed the leak in the radiators or is the leak near the hose connections? Replacing the radiator, cap, water pump, & the thermostat leaves only two others, the hoses and the engine block/heads. Far fitched will be something or somebody poking holes in the radiator.
