Key code my jaguar 2002 wiil not start when u turn the key no support.what can be rthe problem,

This is usually caused due to misfire in engine. When did you do a tune up on it? After misfire, usually it melts the honeycone in the cat. converter. If engine light is ON, need to scan it for code

Hi You have to go through all the numbers 1 at a time, I did this once, it took weeks, my code choices started with 111, then 112 there was NO 0, it was only a 3 digit code not 4 as most are, my code was 525, you have to do this every hour with the key turned on, best of luck

Might be some obstruction in the lock cylinder itself.

Insert your key in the ignition and turn it on and off. Push the Arm button until you hear it lock. That does the trick for me always. I own a 02 jag myself.

Maybe a Motorcraft (Ford) will work fine, (I bought one) but be carefull to make a "back-up", never disconnect the battery at 100%, it make troubles with the computers modules, and will send error codes, someones do this "back-up" with another battery (befores disconnecting it) or a kind of plug-in battery to the cigarrette lighter, then, when you change the battery, start the car and lights (high), A/C, radio etc., then turn off al, then l and the car, even remove key, wait a minute, and start the car, if an error message appears, do the same again, if still, you´ll need to get an scanner reset. hi, try disconecting the battery for a couple of hours and try again but make sure you have your stereo code. if this does not work your key fob may be out cync with your ecu and will require reprograming it is easy on x type , you can do it your self ,you can find the instructions in jag forums or ebay for 1.99

THE KEY NEEDS TO BE PROGRAMMED TO THE CAR

Inertia switch located on the passengers side (under the dash). You may need to remove a small door to get access to it. If you have not been in an accident, then it was probably tripped accidentally. Simply press the button, and it will reset. This should get your car running again. Good Luck!

Had a similar problem with my x type 2.5 petrol, only had the car 1 day went to start it nothing happend all the lights came up on the dash but the engine wouldn't start and the immobiliser light stayed on. Spoke to Jaguar they had no idea and I couldn't get it to them. After disconnecting the battery trying to reset the immobiliser phoned and auto locksmith they came out and discovered the end of the key with the blade had lost it's coding and the immobiliser was not disarming, they reprogrammed the key and the car started no problem. As far as i know there is no way past the immobiliser. Hope this helps.
