If you have auto locking hubs then you need to see if you are getting good vacuum to the front axel and check for a blown fuse or bad accuater

SOURCE: water leak under the intake manifold,1995 toyota 4 runner

There is a heater core bypass pipe that runs from the block (under the manifold) to the bacl of theengine where you will see a flat rectangular "sheet metal" thing with a pipe coming out of it. The a rubber hose connects. You need to pull the top air plenums and intake to get to it. The p[ipe flange bolts to the block with silicone rtv as a sealant.

SOURCE: Rattling/clattering exhaust noise from front bottom

It could be all of the things mentioned in your post. A loose/bent/misplaced heat shield will make noise at different engine speeds as various parts vibrate and (((RESONATE))) in harmony with engine speed. Also, a shifted/loose catalyst brick in the converter can be the culprit. If you KNOW for a fact that it IS an internal fault of the converter, it will need to be replaced. Chunks can be broken off as it rattles about and **** sideways downstream in the exhaust. This not only blocks exhaust, but can lead to a dangerous burn-through condition if the piece of hot catalyst wedges in a bend in the pipe where yo do NOT have additional heat shielding.

Where are oxygen sensors in 2001 Toyoto 4 runner

The front O2 sensor which is actually an air/fuel ratio sensor is in the exhaust pipe just in front of the catalityc converter, the #2 sensor is in the pipe behind the converter, this for both 4 cylinder and V-6 engines.

2005 four runner will not go into gear unless brakes are pushed down very hard

Hi:
If your four runner is an automatic, there is a brake switch that is most likely the cause of your problem. it is mounted on the upper part of the brake pedal arm, and is held in place with a pin and clip, and has an electrical connector too! Have it checked out!

I have a leak in my exhaust pipe but my catalytic converter is fine and the toyota dealer wanted me to replace allof it for $1200. I think this is unneccessary why not just fix the hole. I want to take it...

do the second option , there is no need to change the cat. its working perfect , and this is whats the most expensive iten on the exhaust , the dealer is the most expensive place to go anyway , isnt they an exhast and tyre centre to go to for a second opinion .
1200 buck is far far to dear when its just a hole , plus i know the cat can be removed and reused on the new pipe if neededs

I need a diagram of the timming belt.It would line up correctly.

You need to offset (back it up counterclockwise) the cam gear on the right (passenger) side of the engine by "one tooth" before engaging the belt tensioner. I've personally been through this issue several times. Once you have it offset, engage you belt tensioner, and you gears will align properly.

I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.
