Car all ok untill yesterday,after 1 hour run,stopped car for ten minutes,would not restart,all elsr fine,except the auto hold light on dashboard has started flashing,when ignition is on,,could this have anything to do with the problem,AA called, no help,said it may be a sencer switch

Turn key to on position and listen for fuel pump to turn on, if not check fuel pump fuse and relay. May also be crankshaft sensor. Maybe not getting any spark.

it is located on the drivers side underneath the van. you have to remove it from the underside of the car. you will need a 17 millimeter socket or wrench. Remove the ground cable before attempting to remove the starter.

the car will not start if the immo light is not lit. sometimes turning the key back and forth or removing it and locking then unlocking the car can sometimes remedy this.

if the immo light doesnt come on it means the ecu has left the immobilizer on. it is a commen fault on kia. if you lock and unlock the car or sometimes just take the key out the ignition then put it back in it sorts the problem. if you dont see the IMMO light dont attempt to start it because it wont fire
