The blower on my 307 work after you turn it on and off repeatedly .
it can take up to 10 are 20 min for it to work. and the it doesn't run at full speed for very long before it dies dawn and stop

i just had the same fault, but being in the trade it is normally only 1 of 2 problems.
the heater resitor packing up or the wiring loom.
both can be bought through peugeot.
try the heater resistor first (£40). to find it undo 7 star screws to remove glove box then look in behind centre conlsole near back of radio diconnect the black plug with a red and black cable. twist back of fan motor clockwise and remove fan(it's a bit of a tight squeeze to remove),then put your hand inside the hole you just made till you feel the flat resistor turn this anti-clockwise and disconnect green plug then reassemble as removed,
if this does not fix it then it is the loom, to remove this it is best to follow the wires from the back of fan motor up to where i think if i remember lead to 2 other plugs 1 green and 1 black on the way to another green plug up behind the drivers foot well, then thread the new loom back the same way.
on the 405 i think the resistor is in behind the fan motor accessed throgh the driver side footwell again you need to first take out the fan motor normally twisted anti-clockwise. it is un common for 405 to burn out heat resistors it is normally down to a wire fault.

Hi, this weekend i fixed the problem with the motor resitor. And the solution is much easier, without taking out the fan out. The only thing to do is to select the button from control panel "air recirculation" choose "recirculation", you will see a pretty hole to get in, well there it is (resistor). Turn it 1/4 anti-clockwise and disconnect it. That all. Here in spain, the resistor is about 59€. Thank and regards. Alejandro

I have had the same problem on my Peugeot 307. During the recent ice and cold weather it has been an absolute nightmare spending around 45min every morning trying to get the car into a state were it can be driven without the windscreen steaming up every 30 secs, or freezing up for that matter. I borrowed the specific screw set to be able to unscrew the glove box and get to the wiring behing it. I noticed that the electrical wires have 2 connections or junctions. The first is behind the glove box and this connection joins to the wires that lead to the heater control switch. I unplugged this connection and sprayed the contacts with WD40 and gave them a wipe. Then I unplugged the connection behind the heater control switch/dial and spayed the contacts here too. Once the WD40 had evaporated the heater started to work fine again for about 3 days. So I must assume that in most cases the fault is not necessarily with the heater or the resistor but with the contacts in the wiring. I feel that it would be pointless to take the car to a garage or mechanic as they would probably charge me a fortune to replace these wires/connectors. Something that I could do myself in 10mins if I could just find a supplier for replacement wires !!!
I just sorted similar problem of fan not working. After extensive fault finding I narrowed it down to wires that connect to resistor in the fan unit. Basically the connector was burned down and not usable at all, two wires out of five were just held in place by pins on the resistor and heat damaged. So I had two options: one is take it to the garage and replace whole loom (which I believe cost megabucks), and two is somehow make it working again for nothing.
Here is the solution I came up with:
1 press recirculation button. It opens up vent flap underneath steering wheel column.
2 locate resistor then turn it to release and pull out from fan unit
3 take a note of order of all wires, then cut the connector off. Same time on the resistor cut off the plastic that surrounding pins so you can easily work with pins. Only remove plastic that housing female part. Bend pins at about 45degree angle staggering them so you get more room for soldering wires on.
4 solder wires on to pins. A bit tricky but possible. Note of advice: before soldering clean all the pins and apply some solder on them, same with wires. Make sure there is enough room around them to not to short when soldered.
5 push resistor back where it belongs. Job done.
I have encountered the same problem and put my car in a garage this morning. I have been quoted £250 to have this problem sorted. Do you think this is a reasonable price? I have been told that its the heater blower motor that's packed up?

The air blowers in my 03 rapier 307 work when they feel like it too.
fan not working but if you pull the wiring harness it does work until you hit a large bump pull the harness and it works again so im gona take the dash out today to find that loose connector i will let u know

update on finding heater fault i have the heater in bits found the resistor inside the fan housing i said that pulling the harness made it work DONT DO THIS as the fault on my car is that the black wire has melted through the connector and it could have been really bad gona make up a new harness and get a new resistor let u no
well problem solved on my car what a nitemare didnt have the rite connectors couldnt get a resistor managed to save the old one.the block connector to the resistor was damaged by heat from wire so trimed affected section off and managed to use a connector the same as the small female speaker type i said early on the burned wire was black ITS RED its the wire that runs from the resistor connector to the fan motor it got my heater working hope it helps someone else
I also have a 307 hdi rapier fan heaters stopped working then as quick as it has stopped it started working again a few weeks later. The same problem has now re occured but with this weather it is now impossible to drive as iced windows not only outside but inside also! Any ideas???? A mechanic has looked but cannot find fault as all that could be faulty seems to be working correctly - The lights are not illuminated on fans either.

Hey..I have the exact same fault with the heater not working on my 307-its driving me crazy..with the weather being freezing at the moment and cold especially in the mornings when your windows are dead frozen; it is impossible to see during your journey-its dangerous if anything! My local mechanic says its a half day job that gonna require investigation but as you say its something minute as a resistor. Could I do it myself..is it best to go to the dealer..my cars not under warranty anymore..is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg?
heater blower stoped working
my peugeot 307 wont start on key but can bump start i had starter motor changed. it worked fine for about 10 min then would not start again. itsounds like the starter motor is spinning but aint cranking.
