Car and steering wheel vibrates pretty severely while under acceleration between 50-65mph. If suddenly let off accelerator it seems to stop vibration. Engine smoothly revs in neutral. Tires rotated and "bad" tie rods replaced with realignment with no success. Not sure if cv's or axels ever replaced. No obvious new noises( unchanged old high pitched wine sound), bearings "ok". No shifting issues noted. No obvious issues while turning van. Thanks, Barry

Same thing with one of the customers.. It's normal nowadays with auto trans vehicles, since the got ect-i's.

you will have to use something to pry it out. Normally a long flat tip screwdriver has always pryed out the stubborn cv axels for me.
SOURCE: how much will it cost to fix tie rod on 98 grand prix gt
At our shop, about 25-30 bucks for the part, 20 Bucks to install, and 50 bucks for a 4 wheel alignment.. so roughly 100 bucks.. But keep in mine different shops have different labor rates.. Id replace both tie rods if it were me to get my money's worth outta the alignment.. Thanks.. ( ps) get ur own parts as most shops mark up the price

Best approach is to acquire a repair manual for that vehicle. Pep Boys or similar will likely have one..

I had similar problem with my '99 outback. Replaced the front half shafts and seemed much better. A few months later seemed to be comming back so replaced the driver side shaft again and the problem disappeared. I had put in rebuilt shafts and the driver side shaft was not rebuilt correctly.
