System working well and charging the battery, then that means most likely the battery has one or more bad cells and can't HOLD a charge. It may seem fine but it's not what it seems. Good Luck

My 2005 trailblazer wont turn over and door locks dont work the relay under hood clicks HELP

Your battery is dead. Why it is dead is another investigation. Is it getting charged? If not the alternator could be gone.
Charge the battery, or if it is 6+ years old, replace the battery, charge, and then test.
If it runs ok with a charged battery, but the battery keeps running down, then it is likely the alternator or something in the charging circuit.

OK, now we know you have checked the battery. The door locks not opening and the relay failing to pull up means they are not getting enough juice. So if it's not the battery, then its something else in the electrical system. Because two completely separate systems (locks, starter/relay) are affected, it is something common to both of them. But go ahead and check the fuses anyway. Also check all electrical connections (Battery and other) for corrosion or looseness

I replaced the starter in my 08 uplander. Now my dash reads charging system failure. my alternator checks out to be good but it wont keep my battery charged.

check that the charge wire was properly connected as some use the positive wire on the starter as the charge circuit back to the battery

Pontiac Bonneville Wont start and charge after i changed alternator

Check the wire from alternator to fuse box for a bad wire or a break in it. or corrosion on it. Battery cables loose or corroded. Is the battery ok!! check the main fuses in under hood fuse box. Good-Day! The charging wire goes to the fuse box first.

Battery light on, got new alt., starter tries to engage, but doesnt

Did you have the charging system diagnosed or did you just guess at it being the alternator . The charging system is computer controlled . The starter isn't working because low power , battery dead . Is there B+ voltage at the wire on the back of the alternator .B+ voltage at pin 3 at the connector pluged into the alternator .
Charge the battery use a volt meter an test for B+ voltage at the places i mention . No check engine light ? DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored .

MY 1990 DODGE DYNASTY WONT KEEP A CHARGE WE HAVE HAD THE ALTERNATOR CHECKED ITS GOOD AND SO IS THE BATTERY ANY THER REASONS IT WONT KEEP A CHARGE IT WILL DRIVE FOR ABOUT 30 MIN AN THEN DRAINS THE BATTERY

You need to find out what the battery drain is as it is running, a competent auto electrician can do that. I am assuming that the battery capacity has been checked as ok and if it is there must be a VERY VERY high battery drain as it is running, something must be getting very warm. I think either the battery is not draining or your previous check on the battery alternator have not been done properly. Change the battery and see what happens.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

The car wont start. it makes the soundds like it wants to turn over but it wont turn over

you either have dirty battery cables terminals. Remve them and clean. Or the battery is at the of its life. Remove it and go get it tested. Or you need a starter and it will need to be replaced. Or you have a alternator problem and its draining the battery which will require you to charge the battery or jump start the car and drive it to the shop and get the battery/starter/ and charging system checked,.

If the alternator light is on when you get it running you may of popped a fuse or the alternator failed. Be sure the battery is fully charged if you decide to drive to a shop because you may end up draining the battery and the motor will die.

I have changed both the alternater and starter

This procedure usually works:
·Check the battery cable connections:
Make sure the negative cable makes a good ground connection at the battery and (preferably) at the engine. Make sure the positive cable, makes a good connection at the battery and at the starter.

·Check the battery the simple way, like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.

·Check the starter and solenoid:
If the wiring looks ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter(10 volts minimum while cranking).
If the starter spins and no crank, the problem is most likely the Solenoid's pinion gear is stuck.
Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck pinion gear.
·Make a simple test of the alternator:
If you can, somehow get the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery. It should be at least 13.6 volts to properly charge the battery.
