Systems check comes back fine except for tire senor failure which is common. However now I have noticed in the on board controls in the dash to change settings on the running boards, my seats and lights are all coming back with Data error. When I shut the truck off and pulled the keys out and opened the door the radio remained on and I could also roll the windows up and down with the door open. Never before could i do that.

one of your door switches is not fully closing when you close the doors. Check each one and try shimming them where they contact the door. one at a time. see which one turns the dme light off and fix that switch or adjust door. Check liftgate too.

It is most likely that the door switch in the pillar near the door catch is not making proper contact when the door is opened and therefore not triggering the functions that operate when the door is opened. It is quite common for these switches to become intermittent. To check, try operating the switch plunger by hand, with the door open, to see if the functions operate. If OK, then remove switch and clean contact points with some fine emery paper or other suitable abrasive such as an ink eraser. When reinstalling, ensure there is a good contact between the switch body and the door pillar. If the cleaning process fails to correct the problem then the switch should be replaced.

Thismay be due to a bad door switch or the module, the power is on until the door switch sends signal to module to shut power down for relay, there are problems with the switch and also the wiring, first check and see if the drivers door turns on inside dome lights when it is opened, this will tell you if switch works, next is to check the wiring coming into the drivers door, this is located inside the rubber boot where the hinges are, pull rubber boot back as far as you can and check for any broken wires, look good , this is also common from opening and closing door,the last thing to check would be the module this is located behind the door panel on the driver door.
