Hello, you will need to replace blower control resistor mounted under the passenger side of dash. also inspect the connector that plugs into the resistor for any problems. the resistor is mounted next to the blower motor and attach with two 5.5 mm screws

Where is the heater resistor on a 2005 dodge dakota? Behind glove box?

should be just above the blower motor. You will need to remove the glove box door to gain access.

Ac will not work on high in 2004 isuzu rodeo

What is near the motor? This isnt working on HIGH. So its not a resistor. If that is what you are talking about? High isnt connected to a resistor. Its direct power so what would changing the resistor do if the only possible problems are fuse, relay or switch? If it worked on HIGH and not setting one through three then yes it would be the resistor on the ac blower motor if it is still powering on when tested on the low settings.

2006 silverado 5 speed heat, the high speed is not working. I do have the 4 lower speeds

The switch, high blower speed relay or the wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. The highest setting 5 has no resistor, so the blower runs on high but the high current flow ends up burning up the switch's contact on that setting or the relay and may be the resistor wire harness at the blower motor has gone bad. Common would be the switch it self, if the switch is good. Then it's going to be the blower relay or wire leads at the speed resistor by the blower motor under the glove box by the passenger leg compartment. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your Silverado running 100% again soon.

1997 Chevy K1500 heater only works on high

Good chance it's the resistor . Will be in circuit between switch and blower, usual locations are on ducting under dash on passenger side, or behind glove box. Locate wires coming from blower motor, and follow them back to resistor.

Heater resistor

Needs new Blower Motor Resistor. The resistors work in series to step down the voltage to the motor; when it only works in high, there is an open in the resistors so it only gets 12v.

Changed the resistor pak with new one and all the speeds do not work, smells like something is burning when blower motor is on which only works on high speed.

Did you also change the connector at the same time?

Here is a step-by-step check you can do to fix it. If you are only getting high speed (setting 5), then most likely you have a resistor problem, or the wiring connector to the resistor is bad. The ground wire prong being bad is a possible cause.

Check this for step-by-step checks:

you need to change blower motor resistor by blower motor right behind blower right side under dash.
