SOURCE: transmission fluid leak

Transmissions can leak anywhere there is a seal, fitting or gasket. Most common leaks are at the trans pan gasket and fittings.. However, to find a leak the only way is to get under there and look. A mid sized leak will clean off road debris and leave a track. Keep in mind that all leaks run down and that while driving this can be blown towards the rear of the vehicle. If you find a suspicious area, clean it off with a rag & some solvent and run vehicle...watch that area for seepage. Also check cooling lines to radiator. Fluid coming from inside bellhousing indicates a bad front seal (requires trans removal to repair) Fluid should be (for aw4 units) Mercon, or any quality synthetic that covers mercon application.

you need to tighten those fittings with a wrench... if they still leak... remove them and wrap them with a couple turns of "teflon tape" the kind they use for plumbing. the clamps you should use are hose clamps of the same type that you use for radiator hoses... you will note these can be tightened with a socket.... you really don't need to over tighten them but fairly snug... transmission fluid has quite alot of pressure.

SOURCE: Leaking seal cost to fix?

which engine? if it's a 4.0L the seal is in the rear main bearing cap...I have seen people do a replacement without removing crankshaft but have never seen one done this way that worked. If leak is small, try some lucas sealer...It softens the seal and swells it a bit. Also use oil for high mile engines afterwards...that too contains a conditioner.
(cheper to try this than removing engine)
Good luck!!! If engine is not 4.0 check back with me and I'll tell you what I think. I didn't mention cost because engine removal is a lot of $$$

SOURCE: 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport is leaking antifreeze in

Its probably the seal around the water pump shaft dried out from sitting. You'll have to replace the water pump. Plan most of a Saturday if you have never done it before.

2000 jeep grand cherokee 2wd that is leaking transmission fluid and i was told by a friend that the 1999 - 2000 jeeps all do it?

No, they all don't do it. The pan gasket may need changed, but this will burn up the transmission if the level gets too low.

Transmission leaks only when driving

You are getting too much pressure in the system and the gasket are the place where the pressure is released.
