You may have a blown fuse. Have you checked your fuses. If not, the fuse you will want to check is in the fuse panel inside the vehicle. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout. The fuse you will want to check is the fuse in the number 16 position. The other possible problem could be the brake light switch located up under the dash on the brake pedal shaft. I hope this helps.

Testimonial: "I found out that the reason my brake lights weren't working was because I needed a new brake switch. I paid $11.00 at Car Quest and had a friend replace it for me. "

2004 chrysler sebring. my break lights don't come on when i hit the break pedal.

There is a brake light switch on the pedal inside the cabin of the car, if this switch is bad your lights will not work, also I'm fairly confident that the Sebring has a seperate fuse for the brake lights, check your fuse panels also

My dashboard light isn't working but my turn signal light, emergency break light and all other warning lights work, just not the backlight so I can see the speed i am travelling in the dark.

Did you try turning the wheel/knob next to the head light switch? It's the dimmer for your interior lights. Sometimes that happens and some ppl don't know about it. Not sure how familiar you are with it so thought I'd throw that out there.

2006 kia sedona today the heat and a/c just stopped working. There was no loud noise or anything to signal it was breaking. No fan comes on, no compressor kicks in, the lights on the dash don't

Check fuses end relays. Fuse could be blowin. If the lights don,t come on on the heater control panel for the different funtions, Mostly the fuse has (Blowin)

Break lights don't work

Check the fuse for your break lights. It's very unlikely that they both went out at the same time. Most likely the fuse. You can locate the exact one by looking at the owners manual.

Abs and traction control dash lites come on and off at various time..sometimes never come on

Your abs and traction control lights should only come on when you start to slide while breaking(ABS), and when your wheels spin in place when excelerating(TC). If those 2 things don't happen, which with some people they never do, you should never see the lights come on. Only when those mechanisms are in use do the lights come on. And they will always flicker as that is what abs and tc are, intermitant surges to break up the constant. ABS does this for obvious reasons...anti lock break, so when you slide, the abs "taps" the breaks in short bursts so they don't lock up. TC "taps" the exclelrator when it slips. Those "taps" are what trigger the lights on your dash, which is why they flicker and don't stay on.

1992 GMC break lights wouldn't work but tail lights, blinkers were. So I checked fuses and it must have been loose because they started working then went to start it, there was split second of power...

any half *** wiring job could do a number of things from no lights to no radio if its half *** then its not worth a hoot i would have the trailer brake removed unless you plan on using it then i would have a shop redo it trailer brakes when half *** installed can cause problems i prefer a whole *** job rather then a half *** job any day.
