It sounds like bad fuel to me, never go near a station that the tanks are being filled, this causes any muck in the bottom of the tanks to mix with the new fuel, it can take up to 24 hours to settle. I would drain some fuel out of the tank and check it . If dirty drain the tank and fit a new fuel filter.

I have a 1989 Ford f150 drive for about 30 minutes it dies out or stop and want crank for about an hour

I would unplug the gas cap when it stalls; if you hear a hissing sound, change the gas cap, because it builds up a vacuum in the tank.

1995 GMC Sierra 350, Truck has been idling rough.Changed spark plugs EGR valve test drove ran little better. Let sit at idle for a few moments, the truck stalled. Now will not start. Any suggestions?

I would think its a fuel problem.
Try changeing the fuel filter and the air filter but just remove that for now .
The filter is in line drivers side under the drivers door area and is not easy to do but not expensive under 10 dollars .
When you get it off and have gas all over you don't smoke .
Take a plastic soda bottle put it over the line comeing from the tank put the key on run not start .This should make the fuel pump pump if an electric pump. The pump is mesaured IN FLOW PRE MIN and its high because it has return line to the tank if its fuel injection.
So if in 10 sec. 4 to 5 ounces out put the pump is vary good .
If not the pump isn't supplying enough fuel to the system
There are other issues like the fuel injection system and the pressure regulator.
I owen a similiar vehicle you just never what will go wromg NEXT .yet my 30 old ford ranger runs like a new vehicle I fix it of course

Won t start

run the fault codes and look for faulty cam/ crank position sensor as this is indicated by the backfire/hard start and lower idle RPM. Check that battery terminals are clean and tight..

From a quick web search, code P0014 supposedly indicates a problem with the timing advance. I would check that the you have the base timing set correctly. The computer has to be in diagnostic mode when you check it, which requires putting a jumper across two wires at the diagnostic plug. Refer to a repair manual for directions on how to do this for your vehicle. The base timing should be 5 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) for cylinder 1 at sea level. Add 1 degree BTDC for each 1000 feet above sea level (if you're 3000 feet above sea level, base timing setting should be 8 degrees BTDC).

How many miles can i drive once the fuel idiot light goes on in my '84 Cressida?

Available mileage will vary greatly by vehicle and conditions, and could range from as low as 10 miles to as high as 100. To avoid serious damage to your engine and fuel system you should never let the fuel level get below 1/4 tank.

Van took a few tries to start. Then once off nothing worked.

Might be time for a tune up?

Does your car have a anti-theft system that uses a resistor in the key? I have had several instances when I tried to start the my '95 GM auto, runs perfect normally, but nothing. I traced it back to the key. Probably not always put in correctly.

Replace the fuel filter. That should fix the problem. You can follow the fuel line back to the fuel tank to find it. It is usually in the middle of the vehicle near the edge of the vehicle, like right under the passengers or drivers door.
