Speedometer not working
Hello I hope this is helpful.The speedometer works off a small black cable,that run's from the back of the speedometer under the dash to the transmission even if the line looks good it can still be broken inside the line.The line's are real cheap you might want to try to replace it. I have a 93 toyota pickup 4x4 22re 2.4 cyl an i want to put a cluster with a tach in it since my cluster that i have now runs off the computer can i put a speedometer cable in my truck so i can run a new cluster with a tach built in it? I now they stoped making the cable driven in 93 an then they put it back in at 95 i really want to now if i can put a speedometer cable in my 93 cause it has the slot for one just its wire driven not cable can i put it cable in it ??? Ckeck fuses. There is a speed sensor mounted in side of transmission. Check wiring and replace sensor if no prblem found with fuse or wiring.

A possibility...if the coolant sensor is not working, it will dump more fuel if it thinks it is a cold engine.

first you may have a adapter in line to the transmission that has small gears in it ,quite possible that the adapter has fallen apart.check that it is spinning at the speedo end by disconnecting the cable from the dash ,.or your cable may be broken .last would be the speedo head is faulty.
